We are delighted to announce that NRTF will join forces with Creative Scotland and our Scottish members to bring the NRTF conference 2013 to the macrobert in Stirling in Scotland. NRTF will work with North East Arts Touring, Promoters Arts Network and the Federation of Scottish Theatres to bring together touring schemes, promoters, small scale venues and performing artists and companies from across England, Wales and of course Scotland for 3 days of discussion, debate, workshops and case studies. An important part of the programme will be showcasing and we will be working with our partners to curate an exciting programme for delegates. We hope to re-kindle many of our International Village of Culture relationships and entice delegates from across the world to join us as we look at rural and community touring, networks and partnerships.
We are still very early on in the planning process but we do have dates for your diary 8th 9th 10th July 2013 and a venue macrobert Stirling University.
macrobert is situated on the picturesque 300-acre campus of the University of Stirling, in the heart of Scotland, macrobert presents an exciting and flexible venue for a variety of conferences and events. Most of the accommodation will be provided nearby in the very lovely Management Centre which has 100 bedrooms - 90 with double beds, 5 twin-bedded and 4 specially equipped rooms for disabled guests. All bedrooms have ensuite facilities. Rooms feature direct dial telephone, tea and coffee making facilities, hairdryer, trouser press, flatscreen TV with Freeview. Wifi in all public areas and all bedrooms. Places will be on a first come first served basis, so be sure to book in early when the time comes.
Stirling enjoys excellent road and rail links to the rest of the United Kingdom and an ever increasing number of airlines now fly directly to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Regular train services run from Edinburgh and Glasgow. macrobert and Stirling Management Centre are located within the grounds of the University of Stirling campus, between Stirling and Bridge of Allan, just 10 minutes from the Junction 11 of the M/A9.
