Beatrice Parvin is the author of ‘Captain Swing and the Blacksmith’ a historical novel set in Wiltshire in the 1830s and 40s during the Swing riots. The narrative is inspired by traditional song and is now a performance that combines spoken word with folk song, fiddle and accordion.
