Chico Chica


Led by singer/trumpeter/accordionist/composer Barbara Snow, Chico Chica take influences which include tango, chanson, rumba, jazz and cabaret and stir fry them in the wok of their collective sub-conscience to create an unforgettable celebration of original song.

The band are regulars at festivals including Porthcawl Jazz Festival, EFG London Jazz Festival, Canterbury Arts Festival, Rye International Jazz and Blues Festival, Teignmouth Jazz Festival, Bedford Arts Festival, Upton Jazz Festival, Rye Arts Festival, Deddington Arts Festival, Berlin Art Weekend, Bude Jazz Festival, Hampton Court Flower Show and Llanelli Jazz Festival.

Chico Chica have toured the UK and Ireland several times and are regulars at venues in and around London including Map Cafe, St James Theatre, Crazy Coqs, Brasserie Zédel, The Crypt St Martins in the Field, Bull’s Head, ArtsDepot, Verdi Albert Hall, Southend Jazz Club, Hawth Theatre, Fleece Jazz (Suffolk), Cliffs Pavilion Westcliff, Jagz Ascot and The Pheasantry, Chelsea.

Barbara Snow toured with Paul Weller, Jools Holland, Maxi Priest and The Blow Monkeys before forming Chico Chica in 2010.
