In April 2012, Lincolnshire One Venues (LOV), with funding from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, embarked on a collaborative project that aims to engage young people aged 12-25 as consumers, critics, , programmers, aspiring artists and creative entrepreneurs, within the 10 visual and performing arts venues that make up the network.
This one-day conference is the first phase of a broader project focusing on sharing the learning, journeys, stories and inspiration from the LOV Young People’s Programme so far, across three central themes: Developing Skills, Creating and Commissioning, and Empowering Young People as Leaders.
Chaired by Piotr Bienkowski, the conference has been organised specifically for organisations and practitioners working directly with young people from across the East Midlands region both within and external to the arts and culture sector.
