About
Little Earthquake is a Midlands-based theatre company formed in 2005, and comprised of director Gareth Nicholls, writer Philip Holyman and producer Zoe Roberts. We are an Associate Company of Midlands Arts Centre (MAC) in Birmingham and Associate Company in Residence with the University of Birmingham’s Department of Drama and Theatre Arts. Our company mission statement is simple: THOU SHALT NOT BORE. We exist to give people experiences that are not boring, and audiences are the most important ingredient in all we do. We strive to entertain, surprise, inspire and intrigue people by making exciting, accessible, high quality theatre for a wide range of audiences. Projects have included cross-arts festivals, community events, literary adaptations, new writing, public interventions, storytelling and collaboratively devised shows. We particularly enjoy connecting with people who don’t think theatre is for them. Our most recent touring show, "I Ain't Afraid Of No Ghost", won Performance of the Year at the 2019 Rural Touring Awards.
