About

Hello, I'm Sophia Hatfield (aka Stute Theatre). I'm an actor, musician, storyteller and an award-winning theatre maker. I have 10 years experience as a professional actor, including work with The New Vic, Northern Broadsides, Oldham Theatre Workshop, Bolton Octagon, Birmingham Rep, Fuse and Theatre in the Quarter. If you'd like to find out more about my work as a performer, you can take a look at Spotlight Acting CV by clicking the link in the menu. I set up Stute Theatre in 2016, when I achieved GFA funding to produce, write and perform ‘Just Soph’. Stute has gone on to create high quality theatre shows and has collaborated with companies, performers and designers and venues across the country. In 2018 Stute Theatre show ‘Common Lore’ was nominated for 'Collaboration of the Year’ at the National Rural Touring Awards and in 2019 we won ‘Breakthrough Performance’ for the same show at the Rural Touring Awards. I also have a background in community engagement and have experience gathering people's views, running large scale community events and managing projects and budgets. Whether you're looking for an actor-musician, a skilled theatre facilitator, a family storyteller, or to create a new piece of exciting theatre, please get in touch. I'd love to hear from you.
