Beaford Arts is England's longest-running rural arts organisation. Working in partnership with volunteers in communities across the region, we bring great nights out to the place you live. We work across the 1350 square miles of north Devon's UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in partnership with the land, the environment and the people within it. Beaford Arts commissions, presents and promotes events in rural north Devon communities. We present annual spring and autumn seasons of performance, music, dance and comedy and couldn't do it without the help of over 30 teams of local community volunteers who work alongside the Beaford team. Our venues range from halls to ancient churches, barns to beaches and from cliff tops to sand dunes. The programme of events are specially selected by Beaford with our partners and feature international, national and regional artists presenting new work. We also work to commission special projects with artists including residencies and the opportunity to work in our environment and with our communities for extended periods.
