About

Black Country Touring bring some of the best professional touring theatre and dance to the local communities of the Black Country, the boroughs of Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall in the West Midlands. We work with local people (our promoters) to programme professional touring theatre and dance productions into places where the local community get to see it. Our venues include small theatres, schools, community centres and local museums or art galleries. We work with a range of people and communities, including specific work with young people via our young promoter programme and disabled people. We also work on projects where people from the Black Country can get involved in performing themselves or volunteer behind the scenes. We’ve run all sorts of events from cross-generational projects to stand-up comedy courses. The core of our work is about allowing people from the Black Country access to both the experience of watching and being involved in high quality performance theatre and dance.
