About

Alex Gomar is a performing arts producer, performer and facilitator, based between the UK and Shanghai. Co-founder of the Reallynice Theatre Company and The New Shadow Cabinet, Alex uses the arts to build greater connections within and between communities.

Reallynice is an international touring theatre company, bringing dynamic, engaging, accessible theatre productions to audiences diverse in age and culture. Their first production, Two Little Boxes, toured Europe and Asia to explore the construction of masculinities in young people, and their newest production - Spig and Zuki - is set to tour China in 2021 to address the climate crisis.

The New Shadow Cabinet formed in response to the Covid crisis, creating new tourable, family friendly, socially distanced performances for audiences and artists. Their first production, Anytime The Wind Can Change, is touring the UK in autumn and winter 2020, telling the story of two giants who fall in love in the face of catastrophe.
