About
Described as “engagingly clear across a rich variety of styles” (Songlines), Good Habits are a UK alt-folk duo, telling stories and turning heads across the globe. Composed of singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz and accordionist Pete Shaw, the duo create folkish musical tales, with captivating lyrics married with their unique brand of brisk instrumental virtuosity.
Endorsed and supported by Neil Gaiman and Dresden Dolls’ Amanda Palmer, they made their mark on New Zealand’s folk community after heading ‘down under’ in January 2020. The gallivanting British duo originally embarked on a three-month tour, hoping to return to Manchester, UK in April 2020. Then Covid happened; the couple were stranded for two years, continuing to tour the country as adopted Kiwis before returning home at the end of 2021.
