What is Pitch Up (Rural)?
Pitch Up (Rural) is a national platform that provides a welcoming space, where artists can pitch their show to programmers from across the rural touring network via a digital showcase.
*Pitch-up is for Rural Touring Programmers and schemes only. Please only book if you programme for rural touring specifically.
How are the artists selected to be part of the showcase?
Over the past month, artists have applied with their show to be part of Pitch Up (Rural). In total, 43 applications were received. A panel of professionals from across the rural touring network have reviewed all applications and offered slots to a shortlist of artists.
We understand, however, that you may be interested in seeing all the applications we received. On registering (see details below) we will share an Eventotron Portal link with you that will allow you to view all of the applications we received for this round of Pitch Up.
So what’s this showcase all about then?
The showcase will take place on Monday 25th November from 7-9pm on Zoom. Across the 2 hours you will see ‘pitches’ from the artists that have been shortlisted.
This is an opportunity for rural touring professionals to learn more about shows available to book, answer questions from artists, address concerns, and explore how rural touring could be a great opportunity for their production. After the showcase Programmers can contact the artists they are interested in booking directly.
