Young Promoters’ Trip to Brighton Fringe
Last month, NRTF scheme member AIR in G (Arts in Rural
Gloucestershire) took the opportunity to send a group of young promoters
off to Brighton Fringe Festival utilising the NRTF’s “Go & See”
bursary.

AIR in G’s Youth Theatre Director, Jamie Lee, explains:
“The group spent the weekend seeing as many shows as they could possibly squeeze in, experiencing fringe life, and exploring the possibilities around bringing back and hosting some of the shows for their own communities in Gloucestershire. The weekend was a fantastic opportunity for the young people to reach out, see brand-new work and be inspired not only for their own theatre practice but also inspired to share this work with a home grown audience.
“The young people are now in discussions with two of the companies from the festival to work out the arrangements necessary to host these companies in Gloucestershire. On behalf of AIR in G the young promoters wish to thank the NRTF for their support in making this highly enjoyable trip possible!”
Here’s a video of the young promoters’ time in Brighton.
